Such “summer learning loss” (aka, the summer slide) can damage your child’s confidence and erode skills that they have been working on in school. During the Calculating Minds Summer Math Series,
our students can expect:
- To build on and strengthen their existing math skills
- To learn new concepts based on local school pacing guides: We tailor each lesson to your specific student & what they will be learning next year in school. In this way they can start next year ahead of the curve!
- Hands on learning including interactive games and activities that go beyond traditional classroom learning and make math fun and engaging for your student
- To develop executive functioning skills that will serve your student not only in school, but also in their every day life!
- To build their confidence in math! By using out of the box thinking and individualized approaches to tutoring, our students learn that no problem is too big to tackle!
- K - 8 Tuition(1 lesson per week)$175 - $230/month (4 x per month)
- High School(1 lesson per week)$248 - $318/month (4 x per month)

Join us this summer for our CALCULATING MINDS SUMMER SLEUTH ESCAPE ROOM!
Calling all Summer Sleuths! Bring your math knowledge, a friend or two and your best detective skills! Each week we will practice math by finding clues, solving puzzles and using our problem-solving skills!
What is a Math Escape Room?
- Our Math Escape Rooms combine MATH & FUN! Math Escape Rooms combine the thrill of problem-solving with essential math skills. Students collaborate to solve math puzzles, decode numbers, & unlock solutions that lead them through the escape room journey.
- Concepts Covered: These interactive activities reinforce concepts such as logic, geometry, and arithmetic in an exciting context. By integrating a math escape room, we make learning math dynamic and enjoyable, fostering a deeper understanding and enthusiasm!
- Teamwork Encouraged! Students are encouraged to collaborate and use problem-solving skills to reach a common goal… making them a great way to promote teamwork and logical thinking!
Weekly Escape Rooms and Math Mystery Themes:
- June 4: Egypt Escape: Curse of the Multiplication Mummy!
- June 11: Space Race: Fraction Frenzy!
- June 18: Mall Crawl : Geometry!
- June 25: Survivor!: Word Problems
- Who: Students in grades rising 2-6. Grouped by grade/ability. Bring a friend or 2!
- When: Each Wednesday this June, 10:00am to 12:00pm! That includes June 4, 11, 18, 25 – with each week having different themes and concepts covered! You can sign up for any individual session or all of the above!
- Where: Calculating Minds at 121 S David Lane, Knoxville, TN
- Cost: Each session is $70.00 per student, OR Bring a Friend and pay $100 for two students! Snack included, PLUS T-Shirts Awarded to Winning Team(s)!
